MINISTRY — Outreach & CONGREGATIONAL CARE PASTOR

 

Central Baptist Church, Johnson City, Tenn., (www.cbcsite.org) is an SBC and CBF affiliated church with an above and beyond vision initiative as inspired by Ephesians 3:20. To support this vision, we are seeking an outreach and congregational care pastor. This full-time position reports to the senior pastor and will concentrate on 1) Evangelism and Outreach by coordinating outreach and evangelism emphasis; 2) Assimilation and Connection by assimilating new members into church life (Sunday School/Small groups) and connecting people to service opportunities (Volunteers in Ministry); 3) Congregational Care by coordinating pastoral care, senior adult visitation, and ministry; and 4) Regular pulpit responsibilities for the Gathering (contemporary) service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a heart for ministry, excellent interpersonal skills (both written and oral), and an ability to plan and implement ministry programs.
