New TBC Budget Year Underway
By Baptist and Reflector
12/11/2013

BRENTWOOD — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches contributed a total of $2,532,361 through the Cooperative Program in November.

Nov. 1 marked the start of the 2013-14 budget year.

Convention messengers at The Summit in Chattanooga adopted a budget of $36,500,000 for the coming year.

The November contributions are $88,604 or 3.4 percent below what was given last November.

The amount also is $509,306 below budgeted needs for the first month of the fiscal year.

Randy C. Davis, executive director/treasurer of the TBC is a strong supporter of the Cooperative Program as a means to support missions and ministries in Tennessee and around the world.

“The Cooperative Program remains the most effective way to financially undergird an Acts 1:8 strategy to carry out Great Commission work by a vast number of local churches unified by His command,” Davis observed.

“My hope and constant prayer is that the Southern Baptist Convention and TBC church network will become more passionate than ever before about our gospel work together both to the nations and to our neighbors.

“Thank you Tennessee Baptists for your gifts through the Cooperative Program.”
