TBC CP Giving Rebounds in January
By Baptist and Reflector

BRENTWOOD — Giving through the Cooperative Program showed a dramatic increase in January.

After two months of CP gifts less than $3 million, TBC churches gave $3,757,915 last month.

For the year-to-date, churches have given $9,026,158 through the Cooperative Program giving channel to fund missions and ministries in Tennessee, nationwide, and around the world.

After the first quarter of the current fiscal year, TBC gifts are $347,975 or 3.7 percent below what was given after the first quarter of last year.

The amount also is $98,842 or 1.08 percent below budgeted needs.

“It is a joy to report that January was a banner month for Cooperative Program giving,” said TBC Executive Director Randy C. Davis.

“At the end of December, we were 13.4 percent or $815,090 below budgeted needs for the first two months of our fiscal year.

“As we close out the month of January, it is wonderful to report that we are now only 1.08 percent behind budget,” he said.

“I believe that next quarter should find us above budget,” Davis added.
