Closing Held on Baptist Center Property

Randy C. Davis, second from left, executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and Wes Turner, left, an attorney representing the TBC in the sale, sign papers Nov. 8 selling the Baptist Center property in Brentwood to the H.G. Hill Realty Company. Representing H.G. Hill were CEO Jimmy Granbery, second from right, and Linda Boggess. The TBC received a signed contract for the property in late October. H.G. Hill Realty purchased the property for $8,750,000. With funds saved from not having to pay broker’s fees and earnest money from the sale of the property that did not materialize last February, the convention will have about $9 million for its relocation, Davis said. The TBC will be allowed to stay rent free at its current location for up to a year. For more information about the sale of the property, refer to the Oct. 30 issue of the Baptist and Reflector.
