Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
By Lonnie Wilkey
editor, Baptist and Reflector
BRENTWOOD — The staff of the Baptist and Reflector wishes a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our faithful readers.
The B&R could not exist without the support of those who read it in print or online. The staff values your support and asks you to encourage others to read and subscribe to the paper in 2014. See ad in this issue.
The past year has been a difficult one for the staff of the B&R due to the illness of staff member and special friend Susie Edwards. Susie, who has served on the B&R staff for nearly 29 years, was diagnosed last March with ovarian cancer. She has undergone two different rounds of chemotherapy treatments. She was scheduled to have her last treatment on Dec. 17.
Susie is especially appreciative of all the cards and prayer support she has received during the past several months. Continue to pray for Susie and her family that she will be healed of the cancer and that she can rejoin her B&R family in 2014.
This issue of the B&R has Sunday School lessons for Dec. 22 and Dec. 29. Lessons for Jan. 5 will be posted on the website at www.tnbaptist.org as will late-breaking news over the holidays.
This is the last issue of 2013. The next issue of the Baptist and Reflector will be dated Jan. 8, 2014.
