Collegiate Ministry Specialist – UT Health Science Center

Primary Function: To develop and lead Collegiate Ministries for Tennessee Baptists within the Memphis area.  Responsible for developing local campus ministry programs at University of Tennessee Health Science Center and other colleges as resources and opportunities allow.  To participate in the Harvest Field Ministry and contribute to completion of the Objectives of the Executive Board.  To work in cooperation with area Baptist associations and churches and the leadership of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries of Memphis Board of Directors, and the University of Memphis Collegiate Ministry Specialist.

Preferred Qualifications:  Four plus years of college, MDIV or MACE preferred.  Three or more years in collegiate ministry, preferably on a major university campus.  Skills in leadership, discipleship, evangelism, and administration needed.  Non-profit management experience helpful.  Good understanding of Baptist polity.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:  Frequently walks extended distances, stands and sits at desk and works irregular hours.  Continuously communicates by phones, computer and in person.  Frequently lifts and carries 25 pounds, occasionally lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.  Able to drive a vehicle.

Production Technician 

Primary Function: Assist in printing, mailing and fulfillment services to provide a full service postal center for all shipping and receiving of mail for all Executive Board Ministries.  Maintains compliance with U.S. Postal Regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma with a minimum of one year printing and or mailroom experience.  Knowledge and experience with MS Office, regulation requirements of the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, UPS, and other couriers.  Knowledge of printing and mailing equipment.

Physical Requirements:  Physically able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of the day.  Able to drive a vehicle to make deliveries and a tow motor.  Frequently lifs and carries up to 50 pounds, may occasionally lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
