When is Bible Fun Field Day this year? What time does it start and what time does it end?
March 17 – LindenValley, Linden Directions
April 14 – Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Knoxville Directions
There will be 2 tracks at LindenValley:
- Track 1, 8:00 am - 1:30 pm
- Track 2, 11:30 am - 5:15 pm (Yes, these tracks overlap, but the children are kept separate.)
There will be one track at Wallace Memorial, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Will we have the Journey Camp option again this year at LindenValley?
Yes, that option is available; if selected, then your group would attend Track 1 of BFFD on Saturday. The schedule for Camp will be 6:00 pm Registration with lights out at 10:30 pm.
What meals are included? Does Journey Camp include dinner?
For BFFD, lunch is included in all 3 events. If you participate in Journey Camp, breakfast is also included. Friday night dinner is not included in the schedule, so you need to eat prior to arriving at camp.
What is the cost of BFFD and Camp? Do adults have to pay?
BFFD is $20 per person for children and adults. If you choose to register for Journey Camp, there is an additional fee of $22 per person. One adult is required for every six children.
Will our children benefit if we do not offer TeamKID or Bible Drill in our church?
Absolutely! This year’s Bible Fun Field Day is not curriculum driven. The goal of Bible Fun Field Day is to help every child develop a love for God’s Word. Kids will engage in worship, Bible study, and fun hands-on learning options that are biblically focused. Options include: recreation, Bible skills, crafts, and service.
What activities do the children do while they’re there? Do the adults have to stay with them?
Everyone will participate in three sessions plus lunch. Children’s sessions will engage kids in fun, hands-on learning experiences that are biblically focused. Adults are encouraged to attend two conferences designed for parents or children’s leaders and join one of the children sessions for the remaining hour.
The children will be assigned a rotation group for BFFD and will be rotating to all three sessions with the same group of kids. Children will be assigned to rotation groups with other boys and girls from their church that are in the same school grade.
Where can I find information on the adult conferences? What about parents who are not children’s leaders? Is pre-registration required for adult conferences?
There are a variety of conferences scheduled for adults, both for parents and leaders. We recommend that adults attend two adult conferences and join the children for one of their sessions.
There is no pre-registration for adult conferences - just come and enjoy! Leaders from the same church may want to choose different conferences and share notes after returning home. (Adult Conference Descriptions coming soon.)
What do we need to bring to Journey Camp? What other things do I need to know?
BRING:
- Towels and sheets/sleeping bag, pillow, personal toiletries
- Bible (Be sure your name is inside.)
- Jacket
- Tennis Shoes, no sandals
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Eat supper before arriving at the camp.
- Cabins are assigned upon arrival.
- Friday registration is for BFFD and Journey Camp. You will receive BFFD t-shirts to wear on Saturday.
- Snacks will be available at the Canteen during Free Time for a charge. Please do not brink snacks or drinks. The camp does not allow snacks/drinks to be brought onto the property without a clean-up fee.
- Saturday Breakfast is included.
What happens if we missed the registration deadline? What if on-line registration will not allow me to register?
Call Barbara Owens at 800-558-2090, extension 7905. If you have missed the deadline, logistically we may not be able to add another church group, as we have deadlines for ordering food and t-shirts, as well as an obligation to you to have enough staff. Also, there are a limited number of cabins/beds if you have selected to come to camp on Friday night. The camp option may close before March 2 if we fill up. If you have not missed the deadline and are still unable to register, please call. On-line registration is new for us and it could just be a glitch in the system. Or, it might be that we have been forced to close registration early because we have reached the registration capacity. If so, we would be happy to place your group on a waiting list.
How do we register? How do we pay? If we pay by credit card, how will I know that my group is registered? Can I trust this process?
This year’s registration will be on-line. Select the track you want to attend; scroll down to where it says “CLICK HERE TO REGISTER”; click and follow the instructions. You may use a VISA or MasterCard to pay for your registration. A confirmation is automatically generated and will be sent via email. IF YOU DO NOT GET A CONFIRMATION WITHIN 24 HOURS, CALL BARBARA OWENS, 800-558-2090, extension 7905. Barbara is notified when your church group has registered. If you prefer to send in a check, register your group on-line, print off the report and mail a copy of it with the check to: Barbara Owens, TBC, PO Box 728, Brentwood, TN 37024. Your registration is not complete until payment is received. Payment must reach our office by the deadline date in order to be guaranteed registration.
WHAT YOU NEED TO REGISTER ON-LINE:
- Church information
- # attending
- All attendees names, adult/child, t-shirt size, school grade for children
During registration, you will set up an account with a login code and password. You may login at a later time to update information. You may start the registration process and wait to pay, but remember, you are not officially registered until payment is received. If paying by check, your check must be received by the appropriate deadline.
This is something new for us, so please be patient and work with us on registration. Your feedback is very important, so feel free to speak with Barbara. We have taken every precaution to protect your privacy and the privacy of the children at your church.
Are we going to get a “Registration Confirmation Packet’ like we have in the past?
No, this information is available on-line. Name tags will be given to the group leader at check-in on the day of the event. You will need to print the following:
On the day of the event, WHAT DO WE DO???
- Arrive on time to enable children to benefit from the entire day.
- Greeters will be outside to direct your vehicle to parking and Group Leader to the Registration area.
- One Adult should come to Registration Area to pick up t-shirts, name tags, and instructions (Other Adults should remain with the children until that adult returns with instructions).
- RELAX and enjoy the day! Build relationships with your kids!
