Strands Ministry
Mission Statement
The mission of Three Strands Ministry is to provide
Christian leadership, spiritual guidance and an atmosphere
of worship in an outdoor adventure setting that challenges
people of all ages to evaluate and deepen their relationship
with Christ.
Challenge Course
  There are two challenge courses that are available. The
purpose of the Challenge Course is to promote team building
as well as to apply their experience to their relationship
with Christ. |
 Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center (East TN)
Carson Springs is the home of the Carolina Climbing Wall.
This is a 50 foot wall with six different climbing routes.
The facilitators can facilitate all six routes at one time.
The wall consists of hundreds of hand holds that range from
difficult to easy. There are also 9 low
elements. The purpose of the low elements are to promote
team building within your group. The low elements consist
of: Team wall, Whale Watch, T.P Shuffle, Spider Web, Trust
Fall, Wild Woozy, and the Mountain Tops. There may be
minimum age requirements. |
 Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center (Middle TN)
Linden Valley is the home of the Odyssey Course. The Odyssey
Course consists of high and mid-level elements. This course
is designed to allow groups of 4-8 people to share the
experience together. Each of the three levels will thrill
everyone that participates. There are also 5 low elements.
The purpose of the low elements are to promote team building
within your group. The low elements consist of: Team wall,
Spider Web, Trust Fall, Wild Woozy, and Mountain Tops.
There may be minimum age requirements. |
500 foot Zip line
This 500 foot zip line will zip you from the hill side to
the valley of the Linden Valley complex. The trained
facilitator will harness you in for a ride of your life.
There is nothing more exciding then flying safely through
the air at 50 mph..This is only offered at Linden Valley.
There may be minimum age requirements. |
 Paintball
Paintball is offered at both locations. This is an exciting
fast pace activity. Carson Springs course is located in a
wooded area on English Mountain. Linden Valley’s
course is a speed ball course beside the challenge course.
All equipment is provided. Certified Referees and qualified
staff will direct your group. There may be minimum age
requirements. |
 Kayaking/Rafting
Linden Valley is located in the Buffalo River. This provides
the perfect place for kayaking trips. Trips are provided for
overnight and day groups. Depending on the group’s time
constraints, we offer multiple trips of varying length. This
is offered only at Linden Valley. |

 Adventure Sport Orienteering
Each participant will go through 30 min training in map
reading. Maps and compass will be provided. Each team will
consist of three to four people. The participants will be
encouraged to follow the map reading training that was
provided to reach each destination. At each of the way
points, they will be challenged to solve a riddle or task.
Each team has a goal to accumulate more points the opposing
team. One facilitator will follow each team to insure safety
and to calculate points. This is offered only at Carson
Springs. |
 White Water Rafting
Carson Springs
has partnered with Appalachian Outdoors
Whitewater Company to provide a special group rate that you
can only get through Carson Springs. Come join us on the
best whitewater trip in the southeast. Appalachian Outdoors
professional staff will guide you down the beautiful Pigeon
River as it travels through the Cherokee National Forest. As
you travel down stream you will experience continuous class
III - IV whitewater so you are sure to get wet. No
experience is necessary however you must be 8 years of age
to participate. This is only offered at Carson Springs. |

 Rustic Campsite
Roughing it has never been easier. Both Carson and Linden
offer rustic campsites at our facilities. Screened-in
shelters and a pavilion with a view of the valley at Linden
and the Smoky Mountain National Park at Carson. Both of these
sites are for those wanting to experience the great outdoors
in the more rustic setting. Both sides have water and
restrooms available. Their sleeping capacity is 24 guests.
Carson also has tent areas around the rustic site as well.
