Activities
ROPES COURSE
The Odyssey Course, featured
here at Linden Valley, is designed for participants of all
levels of experience. The course provides both high ropes
and low ropes elements. While the course is very much
recreational and entertaining, it also provides a unique
learning experience for participants. Professional, trained
facilitators lead participants through the course to teach
lessons on teamwork, trust, leadership, respect,
communication, and problem solving. Ultimately, the course
will provide an experience that points participants to the
Heavenly Father.
Important Facts about the
Ropes Course:

Allow a minimum of 2 hours
for either high or low ropes, 3 hours for both

Groups must register in
advance to use the course.

There is an additional
charge for this experience.

All participants must submit a signed release form.

Participants under 18
must have a release form signed by a parent or guardian

Forms must be turned in to
Linden Valley prior to participating in the experience.

Participants must be 12
years of age or older.

Sturdy shoes are required
- no sandals or flip flops.
KAYAK RENTALS
Advance reservations for
kayaks are required. All
participants must have a signed a release form prior to
using the kayaks. Kayaks are two seat sit-on style. Each
participant is provided a lifejacket and a paddle. Groups
are taken up stream via bus and float back to a “take-out”
point on Linden Valley property. They are accompanied by
lifeguards. The average float is about 2 hours. Minimum age
of participant is 10 years old.
TUBES
Advance reservations for tubes
are required. All participants must have a
signed release form prior to using the tubes. Each
participant is provided a lifejacket and a commercial grade
river tube. Groups are taken up stream via bus and float
back to a “take-out” point on Linden Valley property. They
are accompanied by lifeguards. The average float is about 1
hour. Minimum age of participant is 10 years old.
SWIMMING POOL
The pool is open during the
summer only. There is a usage fee of $25.00 per hour per
group. No one may enter the pool area without the LVBCC
employed lifeguard on duty. The decision of the lifeguard on
duty in regard to all activities, disputes, questions, or
issues is final. This includes the right to revoke swimming
privileges from any guest. Night swimming is not available.
Advance reservation is required.
ZIP LINE
Advance reservations for the
zip line are required. Participants are provided a
harness, a belay line and a helmet. They climb a rope ladder
to the platform about 25 feet above ground. A trained
facilitator greets the participant and attaches their belay
line to a cable. After given the all clear, the participants
step off the platform to zip about 600 feet. They are helped
off the zip line at the end. A signed release form is
required. Minimum participant age is 12 years old.
PAINTBALL
Advance reservation for
paintball are required. Two paintball fields are
available. For a
fee, participants are provided a marker, 100 paintballs, and
a face guard. Chest and neck guards are available.
Additional paintballs are available for purchase. Only
Linden Valley equipment and paintballs may be used. A signed
release form is required. Minimum participant age is 10
years old.
Hiking Trail
Just a pleasant 1 mile hike
from the main campus is a beautiful waterfall that is well
know by the local community. This hike will challenge you
physically as well as spiritually as you God creation around
you.
Disc Golf
Linden Valley provides a large
18 hole Disc Golf course. The course is located around and
through the entire campus.
Softball Field
The softball field is in a
perfect location in which spectators can enjoy the game
while seating in a shaded area.
Sand Volleyball
The sand court is located
at the edge of the activity field. Each guest
will have the feeling of playing volleyball on the beach
while being in the Tennessee mountains.
Outdoor Basketball
Located across the road from
the Activities Center, the basketball court is a great place
to play some one on one.
Soccer Field
Our soccer field is a perfect
place for large groups such as school or college teams can
practice their teams. It is also a place in which churches
can play together in some active fun.
