GPS - God's Plan for Sharing

New Resources Available

Statistics show that churches who reach large numbers of lost people regularly conduct evangelistic events. Two new resources are now available from NAMB to help you plan and implement highly effective events. These new resources are the Revival Preparation Manual and the Area Crusade Manual. Both of these manuals are available as free downloads on the GPS Web Site.  Hard copies can also be ordered by calling 1-866-407-6262. Contact Neal Hughes at (770) 410-6217 for more information.

Tennessee Baptists are joining Southern Baptists in what is being called: GPS - God’s Plan For Sharing, a national evangelism initiative. GPS desires to see every believer sharing the Gospel with the result being that every person hears the Gospel. GPS stands upon four biblical mileposts – Praying: Every church praying for lost people; Engaging: Every believer sharing as a trained witness; Sowing: Every lost person receiving a witness; Harvesting: Every church harvesting and celebrating every salvation response. These four mileposts are understood to be on going and simultaneous. GPS officially starts in 2010.

In preparation, Tennessee Baptists believe that a time of intense intercession is appropriate. The Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention is designating 2009 as a year of Praying Toward The Harvest. An invitation is being offered to every Tennessee Baptist Convention church to unite in a year of fervent prayers that lead toward the harvest. Will you join others in this prayer focus?
