WMU Endowment

Giving to a WMU endowment supports
missions and ministries
now and in the future.

If WMU has engaged…

your heart to embrace God’s love for the nations;
your head for life-long learning about missions; and
your hands through personal ministry experiences…

then you are seeking ways you can keep missions education and involvement alive for future generations.

You have been the recipient of a rich missions heritage. Have you ever wondered how you can plant seeds that will bear fruit in the future? The WMU endowment could be the means to help you give beyond your years.

Why is an endowment better than a fund? Funds are used during the year they are given. An endowment is invested and only the earnings are spent. Endowments are a source on on-going income. The principle is not spent.

That is the beauty of endowments. Resources for missions and ministry continue to be made available into the future.

Tennessee WMU has designated some priority areas of missions and ministry to use the earned income from the endowments:

• Leadership development
• Christian Women’s Job Corps and Christian Men’s Job Corps
• Ministries to missionaries and their families
• Innovative missions through customization for churches
• Associational WMU grants
• Involving people in missions and ministry

Tennessee Woman’s Missionary Union is supported primarily through the Cooperative Program budget of the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Specific ministries are also supported through the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions. You have choices.

There are three endowment funds that will benefit TN WMU now and in the future.

1. Touch Tomorrow Today – is an endowment established in partnership with National WMU and TN WMU. Funds are invested through the WMU Foundation in Birmingham and earnings benefit both National and TN WMU.

Or

2. Tennessee N Touch – is an endowment invested through the WMU Foundation in Birmingham which benefits TN WMU only.
