BCM: Building for the Future

For many years, Tennessee Baptists have provided Baptist Collegiate Ministry facilities on college and university campuses across Tennessee, often near the center of university life. These buildings serve as lighthouses to college students as they navigate their college years. Students are encouraged to worship, pray, and study the Bible. Young adults are trained and led to be witnesses to others across campus. Young leaders are equipped through discipleship to live their lives as leaders for the Kingdom. Individuals often experience their first mission experience, both nearby and around the world, beginning a lifetime of missions service and awareness. Community develops in these facilities, providing a safe place for university students to find Christian friendship.

The Executive Board owns and operates 14 Baptist Collegiate Ministry Centers across Tennessee. The Board has recently authorized the most extensive statewide facility renovation project in TBC's history. Each of the following facilities is receiving attention to correct life/safety issues, update HVAC systems, replace furnishings, and make the facilities more inviting to students. Where possible, work is being performed by volunteers. Unfortunately, needs exceed available funds. Therefore, the Executive Board has also approved receiving funds designated to assist in this massive project. Give online by selecting the facility of your choice below.

East Tennessee State University

Located on the south side of campus, this large ministry center has served students’ needs for 50 years. As ETSU grows, this ministry becomes more and more vital to the lives of students at ETSU.

University of Tennessee - Knoxville
Always located in the geographical heart of the university, UTK BCM will now be in the front door of the newest freshman dormitory on campus. With the help of UTK alumni and local churches, this building was recently doubled in size.
University of Tennessee - Chattanooga
As the new university library is built next door, the UT Chattanooga facility is more and more at the center of campus. Through the years, lives have been changed and Christ has been shared at this Chattanooga facility.
Tennessee Tech University
Facing the freshman dorms on 7th Street, this building has been the site where students, churches, and Christ have been connecting for multiple generations of students. TBC and Tech alumni are currently busy renovating a portion of this facility.
Vanderbilt University
In the midst of this elite, private, secular campus is a small piece of property owned by Tennessee Baptists since 1960. From this ministry, Christian graduates go on to places of leadership and influence around the US and the world.
Austin Peay State University
Sitting at the entrance to Austin Peay, Baptist Collegiate Ministry welcomes students to their years of study. Next door is the newest, largest dormitory complex on campus - Cross, Killebrew and Rawlins.
University of Tennessee - Martin
The importance to the state and the northwest Tennessee region of UT Martin is clear. The area churches and associations continue to show a strong commitment to working together through BCM to reach their campus for Christ. You can find them all working together at the BCM facility.
University of Memphis
It is essential at this large, urban university that there be a geographical anchor around which to focus the many ministries BCM uses to impact this campus. Like many other BCM facilities, it is amazing to realize the central location God has allowed us to occupy on this campus.
Middle Tennessee State University
Located on one of the fastest growing campuses, Baptist Collegiate Ministry is working alongside Murfreesboro churches to reach college students in new ways. The BCM building is right on the main thoroughfare through campus – Middle Tennessee Boulevard.
Cleveland State / Lee University
Located practically on campus at Cleveland State Community College, BCM’s citywide collegiate ministry also reaches Lee University students and others.
