Revival and Spiritual Awakening

It is our consensus conclusion that the only hope for our world, this state, the church, and our convention is revival, renewal, and an outpouring of the Spirit of God. (Vision Team 2021)

As a result of this belief the messengers of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, meeting in Bartlett, Tennessee, November 13-14, 2012 adopted the following as the Vision Statement of the Tennessee Baptist Convention:

"Our vision is to penetrate lostness and advance the gospel across Tennessee and to the ends of the earth by asking God to bring a sweeping spiritual awakening in our churches transforming our hearts toward radical obedience."

During the next ten years, churches of the Tennessee Baptist Convention will be challenged to seek God with all their heart, to humble themselves with all of their heart, to pray with all of their heart, and to turn from their sins and turn to Him with all of their heart. We believe that "It's time!" (Hosea 10:12) is a call to us to seek Him until He comes and rains righteousness upon us. We invite you to join us in fulfilling the call of Hosea 10:12. Will you join us in this?

We encourage you to join your sister churches during Easter week in Simultaneous Solemn Assemblies. We would like for you to consider doing so either the Thursday or the Friday prior to Easter. What better time could there be for us to humble ourselves before the cross and at the feet of Jesus than Holy Week. Join us.

Below you will find the following challenges for you and the people of God where you worship.
