Leadership Development, like any leadership endeavor, requires an intentional approach. The first step of the journey begins by Discovering who you are as a leader. The Office of Leadership Development is committed to leading the conventions efforts in helping leaders and potential leaders recognize God’s calling and determine how their personal gifts can be utilized. In the Discover phase you will experience six critical components:
- Develops a personal calling statement
- Embraces Jesus as the role model for leadership
- Spiritual gift discovery
- Becomes a life-long learner
- Assess your past
- Discover God’s vision for your future
- Implementing your call
We Do This Through a Strong Array of Services and Seminars:
Leader Consultations - A Leader Health Consultant will sit with you and help you to assess the health of the leaders in your church. The consultant will utilize proven techniques and will work with you in developing a strategic plan for long term healthy leaders.
Personal and Ministry Coaching - Gary R. Collins in his book Christian Coaching: Helping Others Turn Potential Into Reality says “At its core, coaching is the art and practice of guiding a person or group from where they are toward the greater competence and fulfillment that they desire. The Office of Leadership Development offers Coaching to help leaders move toward forward action.
Refocusing - This is a two-phase revitalization process that integrates the personal renewal of leaders with the revitalization of their churches. The backbone of the process is the pastors’ network: a learning community led by a trained facilitator that typically meets for 18-24 months.
Discovering Your Divine Design - The more we know about ourselves and others, the better we can work with and relate to other people. The Personal DISCernment Inventory helps us understand how and why people are likely to behave in one way or another. It is a tool for helping you discover and analyze your own behavioral style so that you can better adapt your behavior to particular situations and create more productive working and interpersonal relationships with others.
Leadership Greatness - Transforming into a “great” leader for His Kingdom does not occur overnight. This workshop focuses on equipping and encouraging today’s Christians to be the leaders in the home, ministry and community. Learn the five traits of “great” leadership.
