Professional Certification Course for Ministry Assistants

Purpose: To enable the support staff of church, denominational, and ministry offices to understand the ministry role to which God has called them; to discover and apply professional methods and attitudes; to appropriately use their creativity and initiative in introducing innovative procedures and technology; and to encourage professional development in ministry and office skills that will impact church and ministry growth.

Why should I attend a Professional Course conference?

  • To enable you as the support staff in your church or association to understand the ministry role to which God has called you.

  • To discover and apply professional methods and attitudes

  • To encourage professional development in ministry and office skills that will impact church and ministry growth.

  • For the fun of it!!

Professional Course is divided into six modules:

God's Call
Understanding the ministry of the church and personal giftedness for office ministry.

My Character
Displaying a ministry attitude; building relationships; pursuing professional growth; fostering spiritual formation and growth; and maintaining balance.

Leadership
Using initiative appropriately; assuming supervisory functions; managing multiple projects; and discovering and using resources.

Communication
Projecting a professional image, applying office etiquette, improving telephone skills, writing for business, and updating ministry publications.

Administration
Developing a realistic job description, setting up office policies and procedures, establishing information management processes, improving filing techniques, and applying organizational skills.

Ministry
Ministering to the staff, to the church family, to the unsaved and unchurched, during personal crises, during community crises, to benevolence needs, and to difficult people.

There is a test at the completion of the modules.
