The commission of Jesus for His church to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) requires unity–Unity among church staff, volunteers, members, and other Great Commimssion churches. Unity was so vital that Jesus prayed in John 17:11 that His disciples would be one as He is one with the Father. Then, in John 17:21-23 Jesus prayed for future believers–HIS CHURCH–that they too may be one as [He is] one with the Father.
This quest for unity is ongoing and requires a consistent disciplemaking strategy. One Body = One Mission will provide
- Practical steps for helping you improve your disciplemaking strategy
- Practical ways to discover and develop volunteers and staff,
- Practical steps for leveraging existing and new relationships, so that your church may fulfill Christ’s Great Commission to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19, CSB) who have reached unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. (Ephesians 4:13, CSB)
