I am thankful…
That the love, grace, and mercy of the Heavenly Father would be absolutely sufficient to save a sinner like me, and to have me included in His forever family

For Jeanne, who 36 years ago on November 20th, became my bride.  She is the constant source of encouragement and sunshine in my life.  As I have followed the Lord, she has followed me from Hattiesburg to Leakesville to Vancleave to Morristown to Sevierville and to Nashville.

My immediate family:  Kevin and Wendy Davis Walker; Derrick and Beth Davis Green.  They have given us the incredible joy and the priority of all our extra time three grandgirls:  Maddie and McKenna Green, and Elizabeth Walker.  “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”  (III John 4)

For seeing my Mom celebrate a very significant birthday back in October (I cannot tell you how significant or I’ll be sent to my room!).

For hearing the clear call of God two years ago to a new challenging and exciting position of serving Tennessee Baptists by washing their feet as together we win the lost of our beloved state to Christ.

For the gifted and tenacious TBC Team of Great Commission missionary-hearted servants that have “stayed by the stuff” through a period of great transition.  The journey ahead of us will be fruitful, exciting and filled with victories.

For Mrs. Phyllis Bates, my incredible, wise, encouraging, hardworking, second-mile-minded assistant.  It is impossible to calculate how the Lord has used Phyllis in my life.

For the fact that our nation is still free and Jesus is still Lord.

The University of Alabama football team won another National Championship, but far more important than a National Championship—they beat Auburn!

I am very thankful to be on this journey with you!
