Requirements
- Familiarity with or ability to speak other languages is a plus.
- Skills in worship or children’s ministry are also a plus but not required.
- Willingness to navigate public transportation
- Attend Send TN Orientation May 17 and Debriefing July 26
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in serving the Lord in an urban setting? Would you like to meet people from all over the world while using your gifts in a local church or ministry? Come serve in New York City through the Metro New York Baptist Association!
Summer missionaries will learn how to be on mission in a city that desperately needs the Gospel by being fully immersed in the culture. They will be matched with a ministry to serve alongside and will be trained by pastors, missionaries, and church planters to live on mission and make disciples within the context of community. Missionaries will help meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of those in the City.
Potential Weekly Schedule:
Saturday – Thursday missionaries will work with their assigned ministry. Much of the weekly schedule will depend upon the church to which the missionary is assigned.
Friday is development day with all the interns. This will be a time committed to fellowship, missional training, and quiet time with God.
