The Off the Grid Rocky Mountain trip is a opportunity for those that have some backpacking experience. We will fly into Colorado Springs on July 30th. We will spend one day on the base of Fort Carson to connect with NAMB Chaplains. We will have the opportunity to spend time and minister to Army Chaplains in the base. A small number of Chaplains will accompany us on the backpacking trip. We will spend Aug 1 through Aug 4th on “4 Pass Loop”. The head of the trail is south of Aspen.
Four Pass Loop is a backpacking trip through the striking Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. The route gets its name from the four 12,000 ft. passes it traverses: Buckskin, Trail Rider, Frigid Air, and West Maroon. Many hikers take 3-4 days to complete this loop, with optional side trips to Geneva Lake and Willow Pass. You’ll pass through meadows covered in wildflowers, alpine lakes, lush forests, and exposed rocky passes.
Aug 5th will be a debrief and rest day at Fort Carson and we will fly back home on the 6th. There will be a limited number of participants. The max number will be 10 but there is a waiting list.
During this event, the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board (or its agents or designees) will be photographing. You may be photographed. By your attendance, you are granting your permission to be photographed for commercial purposes and agree to the following: (1) being photographed by any means; (2) commercial or any other use of your likeness without compensation; (3) specifically waiving all rights of privacy during the photographing; (4) releasing the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, its agents, designees, officers and employees from any liability for loss, damage, or compensation for the commercial or other use of your likeness; and (5) compliance with all rules and regulations of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board for this event.
