Project Description

Come spend a summer being developed as a missionary alongside North American Mission Board Send Network church plants in Boston, a city where less than 2% of the population are followers of Jesus. GenSend is an 8-week immersion into life on mission in a church planting context. Summer Missionaries will engage the city in a variety of ways such as evangelism, compassion ministries (homeless, food insecurity, etc.), preparing a missional strategy to engage an unreached area or demographic, participating in Bible studies, planning and leading outreach events, worshipping with their assigned church plant, and gathering every Thursday with other Summer Missionaries. Specific details will differ depending upon the church plant to which they are assigned.

As Summer Missionaries serve, they will be mentored by pastors at their assigned church plant. They’ll also have time each Thursday to be encouraged by other Missionaries serving in Boston.
