University of Tennessee Knoxville

University of Tennessee Knoxville

The University of Tennessee Knoxville is the home of the Tennessee Volunteers with over 28,000 students.  SEC Sports and outdoor activities such as hiking the Great Smoky Mountains are a big deal to many of our students.  Often known as an engineering school or business school our students are a beautiful blend of both city and country people.  Called the “Scruffy City” Knoxville is home to the Dogwood Arts Festival and a former World Fair site that sits on the Tennessee River. Our BCM is blessed with a great ministry center located near many dorms which also houses 18 residents and is affectionately called “The B”!  We are often found on campus reaching out to students, ministering to internationals or serving in our community.

Baptist Collegiate Ministry of Greater Nashville is committed to serving college students in the Nashville area.  Currently there is BCM presence on the campuses of Belmont University, Lipscomb University, and Vanderbilt University.  Diversity and inclusion are high priorities among collegians and BCM is committed to helping students find identity in Jesus Christ as they journey through their collegiate career.  BCM Ministry looks different on each college campus; though, there is a cohesive community when the three campuses get together at BCMGN events.  As a campus missionary of BCM of Greater Nashville, you will have the opportunity to serve on each campus, aiding campus ministers and student leadership with weekly outreach and discipleship.  You will engage students of all cultures, disciple existing believers, and share in Gospel conversations with students that do not yet believe.
